Most current therapeutic interventions aim at changing higher order cognitive functioning, and few interventions effectively focus on changing regulation through changes in the mid-brain limbic system and brain stem functions such as autonomic regulation. Somatic Experiencing® (SE) is a resiliency-based treatment for autonomic nervous system (ANS) dysregulation syndromes such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and physical syndromes like chronic pain, migraines, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue. SE empowers clients to access the wisdom of their bodies by tracking and discharging residual levels of highly "charged" threat response survival energy so they can return to normal functioning in the here and now and re-engage with life. SE interrupts the cycle of chronic stress by helping clients reconnect to their instinctive resources and to expand the person's ability to rest and return to a functional baseline. Clients report feelings of expansion and transformation once they are freed from stuck states of high arousal, allowing them to move into stress-free aliveness, relaxation and wholeness.
For SE students: I am approved to provide personal sessions and case consultations at the Beginning, Intermediate & Advanced levels; group case consultations at the Beginning level.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of therapy rooted in mindfulness and behaviorism designed to help clients create "a life worth living." Through valuable skills training in mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance, clients move away from emotion-driven behaviors towards their individual goals and values. Developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, DBT has been empirically validated through controlled scientific studies as effective treatment for a variety of disorders that involve emotional, cognitive, interpersonal, and/or behavioral difficulties. DBT improves one’s ability to regulate emotions and act wisely, reduces impulsivity, and improves interpersonal relationships. It also supports the development of a cohesive and healthy sense of self.
ParaYoga and Sri Vidya Tantra
ParaYoga is a living link to the ancient traditions of yoga, meditation, and tantra. ParaYoga seamlessly integrates yoga postures to link you to your breath and to strengthen and purify your physical body. Breath control is used to balance your nervous system, clear and steady your mind, and build your vital force. Meditation enables you to access a boundless reservoir of inspiration and capacity, to touch your soul, and to see a world of possibility and beauty that would otherwise remain invisible. Sri Vidya is an ancient tantric path that leads to a direct experience of ourselves as a wave of beauty and bliss arising from the ocean of pure consciousness.

"Inge's warm, empathic presence provides space to explore places where one is 'stuck', to integrate limiting processes and to emerge a more coherent Self."
"For years, I had suffered with depression, bulimia, and anxiety fueled by my trauma history. Inge's compassionate, non-judgmental approach ushered the path in my healing process. Specifically, I was able to achieve true emotional and physical healing through the Somatic Experiencing work facilitated by Inge. I now know that I don't have to physically or emotionally store trauma in my body and spirit. I can't thank Inge enough for the role she has played in my recovery and my life."
